fasting in Golden Week

I was fasting during the Golden Week.
I planed it on my birthday in April.
Until then, I was thinking when and how I start fasting.

In the Golden Week, I didn’t have to work.
I had some plans with my family but I thought I could do fasting.
This was my first time.

Before I started fasting, I needed to prepare for it.
I had a little less food for 2 or 3 days before I started fasting.
I bought 6 packs of vegetable juice to drink 2 packs a day during fasting.
I didn't make fresh vegetable juice by myself.
So it was easy to start. I also had some pickled plums in my fridge at home.
I was ready.

On the first day, 5/4, I felt hungry. I was thinking about food some time.
But I visited my parents’ house and met my niece and nephew.
I spent time with them. It helped me a lot in forgetting my appetite.

On the second day, 5/5, it was not as hard as I expected.
I didn't have any plans and stayed at home.
It was not as hard as I read on some websites saying that the second day was the hardest of 3-day fasting project.
I even cooked for my family.
I didn't feel hungry while I concentrated on cooking.
That was a very interesting experience for me.
I felt hungry when I saw someone eating, delicious food and ads on websites.
Too many food pictures were on the web.
I went to super market to buy some food for my family.
I could walk and felt the air, sounds, and lights, very strong.

On the third day, 5/6, I spent my day at home. I didn't feel hungry after 3 o'clock.
I felt happy. I almost finished my fasting and I was thinking what I would eat after this.

If you fast 3 days, you need to eat something soft and light for recovery for the next 3 days.

I kept checking about fasting while I was fasting.
I learned the most important is the food for recovery.
I finished my first fasting and started to eat recovery food-Japanese "Okayu" next day.
