Program : An Outlaw Town: The History of Denver

Mr. Rajala was born in Tucson, Arizona and brought up in Colorado, USA.
He studied religion, focusing on Hinduism and Christianity in America
at the University of Denver.
He also studied in Madurai, India for three months in 2005.
He came to Japan in 2006, and is currently teaching English
at Osaka Ichiritsu High School in Hirakata.
This is his second lecture for us.
His first one in September was about ”The Religious Face of America”

①4/10YOGA : Breathing, Relaxation Basic Concepts:Tibetan Yoga(12 different poses)
②4/24:Power Yoga Mantra: Science of Sounds (sounds making has positive effects on the body) Stress, Chakra, Body Balance
③5/15: Dream Yoga (This yoga has specific results on the mind and nerves system. ) Relaxation, rest, meditation.
④5/29:Mind Yoga　(Improves relationships,understanding of oneself...and more. )
⑤6/12: Karma yoga (understanding your life how to change karma, how karma works.)
⑥6/26: Samadhi Yoga ( deep meditation the steps to and how to meditate, what to meditate on.)
We start the class on April 10th.Join us and have a good time!

English Meeting(FADIG)

I sometimes go to Tennouji in Osaka to study English.
I've joined ,FADIG, an English meeting group since 2004. They have a meeting once a month. One speaker is invited and talks a story to the members and we listen to it. After that, we could ask questions to the speaker in English. It is difficult to listen to their stories in English and ask about the story there, but it is good for me. The members are so friendly and like to study English. Join us!!!
"FADIG" stands for "Foreign Affairs Discussion Group" and is called 'Kokusai-Rikai-Kondankai' in Japanese .
It is a very friendly and informal English speaking group.

TOEIC

I decided to take the TOEIC exam next month.I have to study English for TOEIC.
I've already had a lots of books for it...and took the exam several times.I wish I could get over 700points!!!

landmine

I went to Tennouji today.I joined an English meeting.I've been there since 2004.One speacker talk to the members once a month,and after we lesten the stories,we can ask questions to the speaker.It is difficult to lesten to their stories in English but it is good for me.
Today A woman who come from Portland Oregon in USA spoke about herself,her hometown and her interests.
This spring vacation she traveled to Southeast Asia and learned about the landmine problem in Cambodia.She said Cambodia was one of the worst landmine affected countries in the world due to almost 30 years of conflict,and Cambodia has twice as many landmines as children(7 million landmines).

cafe

I was invited a birthday party on Sunday.I haven't seen a person who had the party before I went to there,but it was his party.My friend and I met at Kyobashi station,but I couldn't find my friend there when I got to the station,and by chance I saw my friend S-san!and asked him where the gate was,and I could meet my friend at the gate,then he took me to his group,and S-san was there!!!We were in the same group.I was surprised it.What a small world!and we went to a cafe,and many people came to the party.Some of them were English teachers,and we talked about teaching English.It was fun,and once a week they have a meeting at the cafe,and we can join it anytime.

I went to Kobe and joined an English speaking group yesterday,and this is the frist time that I've visited the group.I could relax and talk to some people in English,and had a new friend there.It was fun.After we had the meeting, a friend and I went to a Salsa Party and danced with some friends.A teacher who teachs salsa taught us how to dance salsa during the party.I like dancing with many peple.Shall we dance?Today my friend Andy just arrived in Osaka,and called us.He might be coming to our office and talk about his trip there.I'm looking forward to seeing him soon,because We haven't seen for 2 years.

I've been to NZ for 7months ,and still study English.
I want to be an English teacher for kids in futuer,so I have to study English more and more....
Yesterday one of my teacher sent me a mail,I've learned a lot about Aiki Jyuujyutsu from him for 2 years,and he said children were wanting for a fresh teacher.It made me so happy.I've got power from the words.
I like to listen to the music,and I 've just practiced the guitar by myself lately.I like it.I watch a Guitar Practice DVD for learnig it.I don't know how it helps...and I'd like to play the guitar and sing a song at a Party.

dream

Recently I've been thinking about my life.I'm going to quit a job in Feb,and looking for a new one.
I already decided to change my job last year,and I've known what is my dream.After I decided it, I felt really good,and I believed that I could became a English teacher for kids.
I've just started to study about teaching English,and day by day I'm worried about my future,because there is a big gap between ideals and realities.I could join a class with my English teacher,and watched how he tought them,and my English level is still low and not enough to teach.
A part of me ask me"It is just..like when I climb to the top of a mountain,sometimes I hesitate to do it because of fear.I feel it is not good if I turn back halfway so I can stop it now...and if you don't reach the top,is it meaningless?" Anohter me tells me "There is no meaningless things in my life.Any experience I had gives me something."I don't want to give up.
